The Six O’Clock Scramble

The Six O'Clock Scramble

My late night decorating last night was followed by a busy day of baking, errand running, and Holiday Partying (two parties tonight).  I’ll tell you all about my season o’ parties sometime very soon, but in the meantime, I thought I’d pass on one of my recent findings: The Six O’Clock Scramble.

I enjoy cooking, I really do.  But for some reason, when I get home from work, the last thing I want to do is put together a meal.  This is where The Six O’Clock Scramble comes in.  It’s a website service that plans a menu for you every week, and emails you the menu plan and a shopping list.  You can even customize the plan to make the menus meet your family’s needs (vegetarian, likes/dislikes, etc).  On top of that, the meals are all healthy (the recipes include nutritional information), inexpensive, and fast (they all take less than 30 minutes to make)!  It’s really neat.

I tried the service for the first time this week (you can do a free trial week), and in the midst of holiday shenanigans I’ve found it to be ever so helpful!  I purchased the list of ingredients last weekend and each day I made the menu tells me to make!  Knowing that I have a quick, easy, and healthy meal ready to go each evening has been a wonderful feeling!  The service costs $5.00 a month, and to me is totally worth it!  Be sure to check it out.

  1. Hi Kate, I’m so glad you’re enjoying The Scramble so far! Thanks for giving it a try. Doesn’t it make life so much less stressful to have meals planned out and shopped for ahead of time? I’m so glad you’ve given me the chance to share the Scramble’s meal planning system with you. Have a great holiday!
