This is a very random post, but I was so proud of my little project I just had to share it! For work last week I made a poster featuring the United States. I didn’t have a printer large enough to print out an outline of the US, so I drew one! I think it turned out pretty darn well! What do you think?
T-Shirt Folding 101
I saw this Martha Stewart show segment a few years ago where she teaches Marcia Cross how to fold a t-shirt in about 2 seconds, and I instantly became obsessed with folding t-shirts this way. I know, that sounds crazy, you may ask, “Why do I need fold my t-shirts any differently than I do right now?” If you ask this, you clearly haven’t watched the video yet! After I saw this, I refolded all the t-shirts in my dresser. Seriously. Maybe that says more about me than it does about the video though…

Garnish!
I discovered the website Garnish last spring, and while I haven’t ordered much from there yet, I definitely see a large purchase in the near future. What is Garnish? It’s an online store which sells a variety of packaging products, in and of itself that isn’t really too exciting. But what Garnish does that’s different than your average store, is show you how to use these products! Here Garnish demonstrates how to use their products to package food for a winter party:
And here they show you how to create a favor for a wedding or other special event:
If you STILL need ideas, they also have a blog! So next time you’re taking dinner to a family with a new baby or putting together favors for a birthday party, be sure to think garnish!
Organize your life in one day.
Well, you may not be completely organized after this, but you’ll be much better of than you are right now!
1. Clean out your email inbox. One of the things I do to stay organize, is only keep items in my inbox that I need to address. I try to respond to emails right away if possible, otherwise I delete them or save them in a pertinent file. It’s a great feeling to look in your email inbox and see that it’s nearly empty!
2. Do one project that you’ve been putting off. Whether it’s making an appointment to have your hair cut or backing up the files on your computer. Do it. Right now.
3. Clean out your fridge. Throw away outdated condiments, any old leftovers, and wipe down your shelves.
4. That stack of mail/ papers on your kitchen counter/desk/kitchen table. Go through it. Right now. Almost every house I’ve ever been in has one of these piles (including mine!). Sometimes you just need to bite the bullet and go through it!
5. Wash your sheets. Okay this isn’t exactly organizing, but it will make you feel great when you crawl into a bed with clean sheets after you extremely productive day!
