So this is what my kitchen cabinets currently look like:
not so attractive, right? The woman who owned our house before us put in new tile countertops but left these horrible cabinets. Yikes! The stark whiteness, the blahness, the hardware! I’m not in the market for a major kitchen remodel anytime soon, so I’ve been trying to figure out what I can do to improve this situation! Luckily, over at Get Your Martha On, I’ve discovered my inspiration! A week or so ago, she posted what she’d recently done to her kitchen, and I think the cabinet designs will be perfect for our kitchen!

My plan is for my hubby and I to:
1. Work on affixing a border to each of our cabinets sometime soon.
2. Paint them all an off-white color.
3. Affix some snazzy new hardware.
What do you think? I’m hoping this will greatly improve our kitchen…until that big remodel, at least!
This is brilliant – 1/16 the expense of new cabinetry but all the impact. Don’t forget to check eBay for quality hardware from all the big name brands at the best prices!
When I first saw the Martha Stewart kitchen, I thought it was yours. That kitchen looks just like yours!
Haha..the layout is a lot like our kitchen! Hopefully ours will look even more like this a few months!
