My dear friend Jenn (you may remember her amazing wedding invites) is including a jar of her AmZiNG homemade salsa in her wedding welcome baskets, so she decided to make a foray into canning (her first time). My friend Hallie and I have been offering for months to help with wedding preperations, so Jenn finally took us up on our offer and asked us to help her make a massive batch of salsa and try out hand at canning! I decided to drag my little sis, Caroline along, too (Thanks Caro for all your help!).
So first we made a massive batch of salsa. I’ve never made homemade salsa before, and it was surprisingly simple! I’ll definitely have to whip up a batch of my own sometime soon…and I’ll be sure to share Jenn’s recipe with you then! The canning though, was also surprisingly simple. Jenn, Hallie, and I decided that we’ll be trying our hand at canning again in the future…just think…salsas, jams, pickles, red sauce, the possibilities are endless!!!
