Thanks! Try regular paint and a brush! It’s not as fast, but it’ll look just as nice when you’re finished!

My favorite brand is Valspar. And the key to spray painting (ESPECIALLY wood) is to prime. I usually do a very light sanding if it’s a wood piece (but I don’t even always do that…) and then I prime. If I’m painting a dark piece, I’ll use a silver/gray primer and if I’m doing a light piece, like the ones in this guest room I’ll use a white primer. So one coat of primer, usually two light coats of color. And you’re done! Really do try to do two light coats of paint rather than one heavy coat so you don’t have runs! Oh…and one last thing…always wear a mask and I usually wear rubber gloves–that way I don’t get paint on my nozzle finger!

That’s fantastic! I’ve thought about using some to cover a couple book shelves and dressers, but my husband said it won’t go on well. What type of spray paint do you use, and do you have any tips and tricks that will help me get a smooth finish?
