Valentine’s Day with my Hubby

I’ve had a lovely Valentine’s Day with my hubby!  We started out with breakfast here at the house.  I set the table with red napkins that I folded into a heart (Learn how to fold a napkin into a heart.).

And then I made bacon and heart shaped french toast for my hubby…

After breakfast, we headed down to LA where we went to The Getty Center (an art museum). The art was great, but my favorite part was the amazing garden!  We thought ahead and packed a picnic lunch which we enjoyed on the lawn.  What a great Valentine’s Day!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!!!

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Rosy Stationary

Feeling crafty this weekend?  Why not try making some of these adorable rose cards I found over on Martha’s site!  These would make a great Valentine’s Day gift or just a cute stationary set for you to have around!  Here are directions on how to make them! On that note…I’m off to have a cocktail with my valentine :) .  Happy Friday everyone!

Valentine’s Day Wreath

As promised, I’m going to show you how to make this Rose wreath I made last weekend for Valentine’s day! You’ll need:

A flat wreath base (available at a craft store)

Glue gun/ glue sticks

Ribbon

Silk roses

Step 1:  I just purchased these inexpensive roses at Michael’s, they were $2 or $3 for a bunch.  I bought a few bunches of red roses and a few bunches of pink roses. You just need to pluck the flowers off the stems, they should come off really easily.

Step 2.  Start gluing the roses, alternating pink and red to the wreath base.  Bunch them pretty closely together so that your wreath looks full.

Step 3: Once you’re done, it’s time to hang your wreath.  Just wrap a piece of ribbon around the wreath base and hang the wreath your door.  If you like, you can also add a ribbon to the wreath itself, which I was originally going to do with this wreath, but I liked it better without it!

I hope you’ve been inspired!
